Jim Hastings started making gun belts around 1965 for himself and friends. Around 1990 he made a few sample belts and carried them to some cowboy shoots, sold them and took some orders. As sales increased, Hastings Holsters became a business in 2005. His work has been featured in Shoot magazine, chosen as a National Rifle Association annual meeting auction item and acquired by shooters and enthusiasts in every state in the United States and abroad.
“It comes down to the passion of the craft. I find great joy in crafting rigs that help others showcase a shared love for this genre. I think that's why I put so much heart, soul and craftsmanship into each rig.”
